This painting was done using premium thick body oil paint, professionally stretched canvas. Manipulated with touches of paint with both brushstrokes and knife strokes (spatula), with the fat on lean technique, sometimes I wait weeks for the base coats dry to work on it, the result is diametrically opposed to other techniques: working my paintings with knife and playing with time allowed me to develop my own writing, but it took time, work and patience.
You will be truly free not when your days are carefree and your nights without desire or pain,
But rather when your life is wrapped in all these thingsb and that you will rise above them, naked and unfettered.
And how will you rise above your days and your nights if not by breaking the chains that at the dawn of your intelligence you have tied around your noon hour?
In truth, what you call freedom is the strongest of these chains, even though its links shine in the sun and blind you.
And what if not fragments of your own self that you would like to push aside to become free?
If it is an unjust law that you want to abolish, that law was written with your own hand on your own forehead.
You will not be able to erase it by burning your law books or washing the foreheads of your judges, even though you pour the sea into it.
