
Riad HATTOUTI (b.1968 in Safi, Morocco) is a French artist known for his pursuit of painting, which began in 1992 and continues apace today.
From 1990 to 1996 Riad studied fine arts at Le QUAI School of Art and Communication in Mulhouse. After graduation, he moved to Paris where he had his first solo exhibition Reflections in 2000 at Communider Adverting Agency which is used to opening its doors for emerging artists, like a Gallery, where he worked as a artistic director by the way.
Another original exhibition was launched in march 2004, under the sign of “Colors of Hazard” in saint Rémy-En-Provence.
In 2004, Riad exhibited in jazz bar in Paris, an exhibition “ Estampes de Lavis” that mixed art with music, staring Gulliver Allwood & Farris Smith Jr.
In 2012, Riad exhibited in a Parisian gallery in the Saint Germain district, most of the paintings have been sold. It’s in the language of colors that Riad feels most at his universe, and it’s in this non-verbal expressions he find the strongest way to communicate.
His abstract artwork is vibrant and energetic, he explores the inherent luminosity and vitality of colors the dynamics of the dialogues, movements and flow, how the character of the colors are affected and change and how they appear in gestures, shapes, and lines. Colors speak the language of his soul and keep fascinate and inspire him, rendering unending possibilities of exploration.
